Our Quick Devotion this morning comes from Nehemiah 4:14 NKJV

Summary: Nehemiah was living a comfortable life serving in the Persian royal court as a cup bearer to King Artaxerxes in Susa when he learns that his Jewish brethren are in great distress. He’s moved with compassion, fasts, prays and decides to do something about it. He risks his life to ask the king for his permission and resources to go back to Jerusalem and rebuild the walls. The king gives his blessing but when he gets there he faces extreme challenges and even risk of death. Those who hate the Israelites first mock them and then when they see that they’re succeeding they hatch a plan to kill the wall builders.

“And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.”

Questions & Challenge:

1. What small or great need or problem have you discovered that concerns you?
2. Pray and perhaps even fast this week and ask God for wisdom on what to do.
3. Don’t delay, act this week on what He shows you to do.
